Hi! I am Stephanie, the founder of The Roaming Platter. I am a wife and mother to two amazing children, who always keep me on my toes. The kitchen is truly the heart of our home, where everyone is involved, from making sourdough everything to massive meals. And while most of the times things go as planned, we still have flops sometimes, but that’s a part of the fun of creating new things. It’s messy, it’s holding your breath wondering if it’s going to work, and then the sweet taste of accomplishment when you finally get it right.

I have always had a passion for food, as far back as I can remember in my grandma’s kitchen, but it really started to bloom after I got my first job working at a local bar & grill when I was 14. Getting to see how restaurants functioned, and the creativity the cooks got to have fascinated me. Fast forward a couple years and I got to be the one in the kitchen creating new menu items.

Even after leaving the restaurant business, I continued my passion for cooking, baking, and elevating events I hosted with some intricate displays (simple and basic are not in my vocabulary). That passion is shared with my husband and has been passed along to my kids, where they will cook, bake, and create their own recipes. Over the years, we’ve perfected many of our family’s favorite snacks, meals and treats, which sit in a well-loved cookbook that I cannot wait to pass down to them.

In 2025 I decided I wanted to create a fun and unique experience that brought my creativity and passion for food to Wisconsin. I created the mobile bar to create the perfect charcuterie board for everyone, perfectly portioned and handcrafted right in front of you.
